Our client, a well-established, independently funded and innovative end-to-end solutions provider, with an enviable reputation within the marketplace, are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to join their growing team.
This is an incredibly exciting, brand new position within the organization, and as such, is a massive opportunity to stamp your mark on a new role and have a real say in how things are done. The expectation is that you would earn in excess of 20,000 in commission per year, but the sky really is the limit!
This is an interesting and varied role for a confident candidate who is happy to provide technical expertise to existing and current clients, to translate technical requirements into functional specifications, and to provide customers with proposed technical solutions.

About the Pre-Sales Technical Consultant Role:
The primary function of the role is to support the Sales Team, and to take charge and manage the working of the company's technical requirements, both from an internal and external pre-sale supporting position. You will also be required to help lead and develop all areas of our technical resource to include, project management, project installations, client technical proposals, internal technical sales training, technical vendor certifications.
- Provide both internal and external pre & post-sales support. - To be the primary technical interface between the customer and the sales team assisting in driving the sales cycle forward. - Prepare and develop detailed customer solution proposals & presentations. - Provide on-hand expertise & regular overview training to the sales teams on existing & new emerging technologies. - Undertake continual personal training and initiatives to ensure a high level of technical knowledge is maintained across multiple disciplines. - To keep appropriate CRM systems up to date at all times.
Knowledge, skills, & experience competencies:
- Extensive data storage and network security knowledge. - Preferred certifications MCP / MCITP / MCTS / MCSA / MCSE / CCNA / CCDA / VTSP - Vendor experience/certifications e.g. EMC, HP, NetApp, Veaam , VMware, Cisco , Citrix, Checkpoint, Barracuda, Clearswift. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to relate to customers across all levels of their organisation. - Clean UK Driving License.
