Due to business growth and the need to support two major client contracts, we now need to appoint an Optical Networks Specialist Architect.
This key role will sit within Fujitsu's Network &Telecomms EMEIA Products Business Unit and will be responsible for defining solutions underpinned by Fujitsu's innovative Optical platforms and products e.g. 1FINITY.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and shape the solutions for some of the largest communication projects from their infancy. The successful candidate will form part of a multi-disciplined team to provide bid solutions to design and cost complex mission critical optical networks. They will work in both pre-sales and post phases of projects and may support multiple projects in parallel.
-Solution leadership, development and delivery of new business, including pre-sales engagement and supporting bid response activities -Supporting the Sales channels in identifying and supporting new business opportunities -Supporting response to bids, including cost models and proposals -Interface into Business Operations/Excellence for new business, ensuring appropriate governance for new business is followed -Supporting the Offerings Team - regular feedback of changing customer requirements and trends and Product Definition and collateral creation where required
-Expert knowledge of Optical networks routing, switching, managed WAN, LAN, & WLAN design. -A proven track record of designing and implementing complex networks -Experience of selling to Tier1 Telco's or worked within a Tier 1 telco within Optical network design and management -Customer-facing consulting/advisory pre-sales experience -Experience across multiple industries and in several disciplines - including a variety of hardware platforms such as distributed platforms, desktops, and mobile devices. -Proven capability in winning, multi-million pound product or services opportunities -The ability to influence and engage with customers, partners, suppliers and senior management and establish immediate credibility -Technical and service skills that are backed by market and delivery experience -Passionate about successful value outcomes for both our customers and Fujitsu
-Network knowledge to a minimum of associate level - Cisco Certified Network Associate - either through certification or experience
