Purpose and Definition
As a growing company, Our client develops innovative products and solutions in the areas of Life Sciences and Healthcare Solution Technologies, for both providers and payers. Our client leverages agile working methods to respond to a rapidly changing market and new opportunities. The Project Manager role is a new position in our UK team and will enable us to support both internal and external projects.
Reporting to the Program Director, the Project Manager will work with partners to enable them to integrate our products and solutions into their product set and work with customers who utilise our products and solutions directly. This role will be expected to support the management of internal projects to meet delivery objectives while actively engaging with colleagues across the business.
Responsible for the delivery of varying sized projects across the customer base, the Project Manager will be required to develop and maintain a repeatable process that supports a 'light touch' implementation and ongoing support. This will include working closely with internal stakeholders to develop this 'light touch' approach.
- Management of the implementation of Our client's Solutions to new partners and customers through the full delivery lifecycle (installation, systems integration, quality assurance testing, configuration, training and into support) in line with the project plan and budget. - Management of any assigned internal projects to a high standard and working to meet project deliverables through active engagement with colleagues across the business - Preparation of project status reports, project risk and issues management - Assistance in the ongoing development of a 'light touch' implementation approach providing input on business and customer impact - Management of standard plans and reflecting changes as the organisational thinking evolves and experience grows - Management of assigned upgrade projects, including internal environments, working across the business to assess the most appropriate timings and production of the associated impact assessments, documentation, plans etc. - Development and maintenance of project documentation both as templates and as actual project artefacts - Providing a point of contact/escalation for customers during an implementation or upgrade project - Internal and external stakeholder management, by developing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with our customers
- Previous Project Management experience, ideally in the healthcare market - Demonstrable delivery of projects - Working within an IT or software environment - Demonstrable experience of being able to prioritise and execute tasks - Working to tight deadlines - Sound commercial understanding - Use of a recognised project management methodology eg: PRINCE - Effective stakeholder management
- Exposure to healthcare IT systems - Working in a software product business - Working in an agile environment - Working in a commercial environment
