IT Infrastructure Manager required to join my Yorkshire based client - Plan, develop and implement a full range of specialist IS services and Infrastructure that will deliver high quality and cost effective support. Responsible for 17-20 reports in 7 direct reports across 4 sub functions
- Leading, motivating and managing staff performance within IS. Identifying developmental needs and providing support and appropriate training through the use of the Performance Development Review (PDR) System. Identifying appropriate equipment for staff ensuring the best use of available technology and software. - Ensuring that systems are secure and protected from unauthorised access, and that sensitive and confidential material is dealt with professionally. - Supporting the Infrastructure & Communications Manager in the creation and development of the overall IS strategic plan, specific IS objectives and the principles of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) accreditation. - Identifying and ensuring compliance with software licences required for technical infrastructure (e.g. for the desktop operating system, servers and data base licences). - Leading the development and continuous improvement of Infrastructure associated with all aspects of systems and network security as specified within the national accreditation frameworks. - Providing reports to an agreed schedule (or on request), including management and account performance. - Deputise for the Infrastructure & Communications Manager as required - Designing, implementing and supporting IS systems continually. - Managing the annual budgets within related service area and reporting to Infrastructure & Communications Manager. - Ensuring business continuity plans are kept up to date, tested and implemented and that emergency IS services are provided in a timely and effective manner. - Any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as directed by the Head of IS. - Lead, manage and review all significant risks within the Infrastructure/IS in accordance with Risk Management Strategy. - Provide expert advice and strategic development of the IS shared services - Experience of working and succeeding in a Collaborative and geographically dispersed environment (projects or BAU)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification with significant applied experience). - ITIL Qualified (minimum of Foundation Level). - Previous experience at a senior management level in an equivalent service. (2 Years) - Substantial previous supervisory experience. - Previous experience of budgetary and financial management. (Circa 3m+) - Experienced project manager with an ability to coordinate multiple projects. - Range of senior manager behavioural competencies. - Ability to travel within South Yorkshire and Humberside, and throughout the country when appropriate
