Technical Support, Daresbury, £16k - £20k pa basic + shift allowance
A leading and cutting edge technology organisation is looking for a number of 1st Line IT Support Consultants in order to provide support of company software to customers, resellers, and even internal staff.
You shall be responsible for providing technical support to customers with high emphasis on fixing a call at the first point of contact.
- Answering calls within the agreed service levels.
- Troubleshooting is primarily concerned with company products but a good knowledge of the wider environment is also beneficial, a good working/troubleshooting knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating systems and technologies such as Citrix / VMWare are highly desirable
- Providing support for problem diagnosis, using appropriate control tools.
Excellent communication skills are essential to the role. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server is essential as all products run on and interface with these systems. A good knowledge of user profiles and the windows registry is desirable.
Please note you shall be expected to work in a shift rota and potentially some bank holidays.
