My major international client is seeking a talented and experienced Test Manager to come on board and set up and manage a Testing Resource for their Digital Products. The Test Manager will provide software testing expertise and test process management to the group, supporting the strategic aim of delivering high quality, robust digital products and services.

Although not a Greenfield site, the test manager will have to set up and consolidate functions within the team, along with managing of outsourced resources. The Test Manger initially will have no line management function however this is looking to change in the near future, so relevant skills in this area will be desirable.

The successful Test Manager will have excellent communication skills as they will be expected to become an internal consultant / Testing Champion to other departments and teams. A strong knowledge of a variety of testing technologies and procedures is essential as the Test Manager will be responsible in deciding which procedures to put in place.

The Test Manager will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of working in a LAMP environment
• Experience of working Agile development environment
• Hands on testing experience with a range of tools
• Experience of Load and performance testing (preferably using Facilita Forecast)
• Strong experience of black box and GUI test cases.
• Experience in not just web products but software as well (DVD's CDroms etc)
• ISEB Software Testing Certificate
• Functional Testing
• Performance Testing
• Compatibility Testing
• Security Testing
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong management skills
